Lately it hit the world wide web that there would be an Uncharted: Drakes Fortune movie in the future. Although I’m 100 percent against this, considering what they did to Max Payne, I decided to compose a list (yes another damned Top 5 list from me Gary A Swaby) of possible candidates that would make a good Drake. Check it out and leave your comments.
As usual, many of you will disagree with my choices, so simply leave comments and debate and discuss my choices and your own. I enjoy criticism so bring it on.
5. Ben Affleck
There are slight similarities here, and I guess he could pull it off as a last resort, but I don’t remember Ben doing much lately.
4. Matthew Fox
I am not too familiar with his work, I just know he was in Lost and Speed Racer, but he certainly could be considered.
3. Christian Bale
Bale defiantly carries some similarities to Drake in his features, but would he be able to match Drakes sense of humor? Heck Christian Bale is in everything else these days, why not just throw him in there right? Thats Hollywood for you.
2. Gerard Butler
This guy defiantly has the personality to pull off Drakes swag, but would he be able to hide the accent for long enough?
1. Nathan Fillion
Arguably the best look alike of them all. Another factor that counts towards him is that he is listed as being in the Halo movie, plus the fact that he’s appeared in TV series’s such as Two Guys and a Girl and Desperate Housewives means he has the personality needed to play Drake.

You know, the bloke who actually does the voice of Nathan, has considerable acting experience and who Drake is inspired by?
Nathan Drake is inspired by Nathan Fillion’s character in Firefly, Captain Malcolm Reynolds
Fox looks the most like him with Fillion bein a very close second IMO Just hope this is a good video game movie (god knows there have been so many crappy ones lol).
Why choose actual actors? a new talent would be perfect, one that fits the personality and the common guy humor of Nathan
Nathan Drake is partly based on Nathan Fillions character in Firefly for those of you who didn’t know. Fillion is the perfect match. Can’t believe this article doesn’t give any mention of Firefly or Serenity, but instead Two Guys a Girl, and Desperate Housewives? WTF? They even brought on the same dude who did the music for Firefly to match the mood.
As mentioned before why not Nolan North the voice of Drake? I never get this retarded idea that the actor has to look just like the character.
If thats how the actor is being cast then the casting is being done wrong.
But as a previous comment said Nathan is based off of Nathan Fillion’s characters and there voice is so similar I actually used to think he voiced the character.

I would say George Clooney has the look and could easily pull of the swagger and sense of humour.
clooney is a good actor, but too old to play drake
gotta be Fillion FTW .. he looks and sounds like Drake and could definately haul himself over cliff faces and shimmy ledges .. Fox maybe an alternative but these guys are a little old for Drakes chararcter so I’d go with someone like Reynolds or Evans like Drunknmonkey77 says .. but ppl should believe meh weneysay .. Ugh… Christian Bale? that guy is as funny as a cheese grater, plus he’s already in EVERY movie. In my opinion, it should’ve been Nolan North
I’m with Ryan Reyonlds as Drake…Dude fits him perfectly, he can do action and be funny at the sametime.
I have to say that this is a close choice between either Nolan North, or Nathan Fillian.
Nolan North is the original voice actor of Nathan Drake and he does have acting talent. But Nathan Fillian not only looks more like Nathan Drake but he, like Nolan North, has a sense of humor like Nathan Drake.
All of the others simply have to be put aside because they just can’t add the same sense of humor that Nathan Drake has.
Although both are well suited to play the role of Nathan Drake… I’d have to say that the voice wouldn’t really be recognized by us if it wasn’t from the original voice actor. Just like if there was a Metal Gear Solid movie we wouldn’t watch it if David Hayter wasn’t playing the role of Solid Snake. Or at least voice acting with it dubbed over the character…
Nolan North, the voice actor for Drake, is my vote, but I think he only does voice acting.
If not him, then I vote Nathan Fillion. Ben Affleck and Christian Bale would be horrible! Ryan Reynolds would be good, too.

this is off topic but i think Jason Statham should play agent47. Hes bald with an english accent and hes no stanger to distributing knuckle sandwiches.The other guy was awful imo.
How could you miss Brad Pitt? He could easily pull off Drake. Have you seen Mr. & Mrs. Smith? How about Burn After Reading?

I think they should use Jeff Probst. The host of Survivor. He resembles Drake a bit and hes familiar with being in exotic locales. All they need to do is give little more of a “rough” look and i think he’d be perfect. Peep the pics

CHRISTIAN BALE WOULD BE THE BETTER CHOICE HE HAS MORE EXPERIENCE AND IS WELL KNOWN GERARD BUTLER LOOKS TOO OLD TO PLAY NATHAN DRAKE AND BEN AFFLECK WOULD BE TERRIBLE.
Why is everyone saying Nolan north, I dont think he would be that great for the role imo. even if he is the voice, he probably wont be great on screen.

Why does a game story have to become a movie to gain more popularity with the populace? If you want to know the story play the game. It is not the same experience, period.
Nathan Fillion. I couldn´t agree more. He has the same look and style of Nathan Drake. His sense of humor matches him perfectly.
