Poor 50 Cent, Not only does his record sales drastically decline with every album he releases but it appears that his video game has suffered the same fate. His first attempt at spearheading a game resulted in the shockingly bad PS2/Xbox title “Bulletproof” back in 2005 . Despite being universally hated, Bulletproof still managed to sell a over 1million copies solely based on the fact that Fiddy’s name and face we’re on the cover. Fast forward 4 years and it seems that the 50 Cent era is now over as his second game Blood On The Sand, despite being infinitely better than it’s predecessor, has only manage to shift a pathetic 56,000 units in the US. Blood On The Sand was expected to match or even eclipse Bulletproof sells but when the game failed to show up in February’s NPD figures alarm bells started ringing, shortly there-after the game was discounted by many retailers and now it resides in bargain bins across the nation. Hopefully things will get better for Curtis some time soon, he is currently back in the studio with Dr. Dre attempting to make magic for his upcoming album Before I Self Destruct and as Eminem’s Relapse proved, Dr. Dre is nothing short of a genius. Keep your head up Fif!
