“Personally, the Final Fantasies that I have worked on have been very story-driven, so in terms of the development I wanted to, of course, use my personal strengths which where those,” Toriyama said.

“I call it a bento box system, where you have all of the different little things in there. So we had minigames or towns were you were able to talk to all of the townspeople. But with the HD console you’re not really able to do that because it takes so long to develop.

“Now that we have that base technology… The next time you see a Final Fantasy, we might be able to pack in more of those elements that existed in the past.

“And I also think that a game doesn’t need to have all of those items in the future. We can create additional downloadable content for people to add, too. It doesn’t have to come with that game itself.”

Final Fantasy XIII launched this Tuesday, and you can look out for my footage from the launch of the game in London very soon. Square Enix announced that they have already shipped 5 million copies of the game world wide, so the Final Fantasy name is doing the game very well.

As it is likely the last Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game like that you will see coming from Activision, due to the bust up between Infinity Ward and Activision last week. White Knight Chronicles

- After reviewing the game I decided to keep playing, out of anticipation for Final Fantasy XIII. I have yet to get anywhere near the end though.

God of War Collections

- It’s almost time for God of War III to rain upon us, so before that happens I guess Edward V wanted to see what all the fuss was about. He picked up a copy of God of War Collections and starting whooping ass with Kratos.

Heavy Rain

- After receiving his copy, James has been glitch spotting in the highly anticipated thriller. He ensures us that the game is engrossing, aside from all the damn glitches. Big Shel also gave the game a try this week, I guess the curiosity of the Origami Killer got to him.

Marvel Vs Capcom

- What a surprise, a fighting game. The more and more I see fighting games appear under this guys name when I sign into PSN or XBL. The more shook I become of trying to play against him on any given fighting game.

Mass Effect 2

- This sci fi classic is likely to get play from a lot of Koalition staff throughout the year. Kieran Blackman is amongst the only ones on the team who has yet to complete the game due to his obligation to study. It is so hard not spoil the ending, hurry up Kieran and A.B.

So there you have it, that’s a couple games that The Koalition staff has been playing the past week. Remember the Blur beta starts on Monday, and we have codes to give away. If you have been observant on the site and our twitter, then it’s likely you already have a code. If not, then keep checking the site and our twitter or facebook for more information. The fact that Sony has patented this technology, could mean that publishers will be ore willing to distribute demos on PSN. It seems like the perfect way to lure people into actually buying the game, besides just playing a demo and then never purchasing the full game.

For weeks now there have been hints that a new Warhawk game is being worked on by Incognito entertainment, mainly from our good friend HipHopGamer. It is beginning to make more sense for a Warhawk sequel to be revealed at this point, as the first one was well received. It has now been nearly three years since the first game, so a new revamp of the franchise would be more than welcomed. From what I got from hearing people talk about the possibility of a Warhawk 2, it seems they want to push a single player campaign as well as the online multi-player portion.

With Insomniac shutting down any idea of a product form their shop getting revealed, and Killzone 3 likely to not be revealed for some time. Warhawk 2 for the Playstation 3 makes the most sense to me at this point. I could be wrong, but regardless I am sure I am right in saying that there is a new Warhawk on the way. Only time will tell, be sure to tune in to Gametrailers TV to find out what Sony’s secret will be.

Just as promised, the Just Cause 2 demo is live on live. If you sign into Xbox Live right now it should be there waiting for you, so download that bad boy and get exploring. The first game was heavily slept on, but I am sure this time Eidos (now Square Enix) have improved the game to the point where you would be a fool to sleep on it. The demo is also supposed to come to Steam and Playstation network, but there is no word on when it will be going live on either service yet. I think it’s time I went back to the first game, just to finish off all the things I didn’t get to finish the first time.
