Eliza had nothing but positive things to say about the game, despite its not so great reception in the gaming industry. “This video game WET I just did, she’s got a working class Lara Croft thing going on, and she’s pretty kick ass,” Eliza said, going on to say “She travels the globe, she’s in Hong Kong and she’s in the UK and she’s a gun for hire and she’s got two samurai swords. She’s pretty vicious.”

Hmm Lara Croft? You might just be giving yourself too much credit right there, but she definitely made sure to hint at a possible live action movie version of the game in which she would also star. “So that’s been something that maybe could turn into a live-action Dushku vehicle.”

Lets hope the movie would be more appealing than the game itself.

F. Mills – One of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen, Half Baked displays Dave Chapelle’s comedic genius before his Chapelle Show success. This movie never gets old and watching this movie is a sure way to start off a great weekend. For those who don’t know about this movie for some reason, it is a comedy about weed. (The Koalition’s Parental Advisory: Watching this movie might cause you to desire weed. Keep this away from your children.)

A.B. – I choose a little movie called Premium. I know what your thinking, “pause”. But really even though this is a love story its a decent movie. Zoe Saldana looks fly as usual and it stars another good actor Hill Harper. But besides all of that this is a funny flick. Its about a brother named “Cool” who has a sucky job and runs into his past love and shit pretty much makes the plot interesting. But one of the main reasons I chose this movie is because the director is from my area and I happen to know him. Let me know what you think, told you I do not disappoint.

Eddy V – Kidulthood gives you a glimpse of the day-to-day life of West London’s troubled youth. Filled with bullying, sex, drugs and everything teens should stay away from but don’t. Also gives you a feel for the urban scene in London through the eyes of boys, girls, white and black. In the end, you’ll have a new appreciation for foreign films and leave with a great musical soundtrack and new UK slang words. Thank Gary Swaby for introducing me to this movie.

Michael Jackson has a planned video game [being] released for the PS2, PS3, and Nintendo Wii this holiday season. No word yet as to whether or not the performer’s death will cause a delay or cancellation of the game. The rumored video game was said to be made by MJJ Productions, a company owned by Michael Jackson himself.-News10

I’m completely out of the loop. I had no idea this was in the works. Or maybe this was something that was under wraps. Either way, I’m glad to see he kept his passion alive even at the age of 50. The only thing to wonder now is what kind of game it is?

The game series seeks to represent American, Soviet and British perspectives, a blend which is unusual in typical war pictures and could make for an interesting underlying premise to the adaptation. The occasional level of the game that requires the player character to ‘go it alone’ might make for good gameplay but would have to be handled sensibly in the film to avoid evoking infuriating ‘John Wayne’ heroics.

If Inglourious Basterds is a smash, which I sincereley hope it will be, we might see Call of Duty getting an easy greenlight. If, on the other hand, Basterds bombs there’s a fair chance of all world war related treatments, scripts and licenses getting swept off the table and into the circular file. This is hardly an amazing feat of perspicacity, I know. I’m really just parrotting the accepted wisdom on studio development cycles but while Call of Duty is in early development like this, it seems the appropriate context to quote.

I see it happening no matter how good Inglourious Basterds does solely do to the enormous following that the Call Of Duty series has. I guess time will tell and if this does end up happening hopefully they don’t screw it up.

My, my, my, she sure does look good outside of G4

With my relationship with THQ, they’ll actually see me develop Saint’s Row into an actual screenplay and into a film project. I’m optioning the rights for that right now, so they’ll see that before they see me do it from my own perspective for my game.

Damn. I give it to 50 that’s a smart move. Video game  movies do ok in the box office. Plus its a great start to the Cheetah Vision production company 50 formed last year. What do you think about a Saints Row movie? Hot? Or Not? And do you think 50 will star in it himself?
