UK Charts: Final Fantasy XIII Brings In Record Breaking Results.

As expected Final Fantasy XIII has shot right to the top of the charts. 54 percent of the games sales were on the Playstation 3 alone, with the remaining percentage being Xbox 360 sales. This was pretty much expected, especially judging from the Final Fantasy fans reaction to the Xbox 360 last week at the launch event. Aside from Final Fantasy XIII there wasn’t too much more action on the charts. Of course battlefield fell from the number one spot to number 2. Just Dance is still doing it’s thing at number 3, and Heavy Rain is at 4.

UK Charts: Battlefield: Bad Company Battles It’s Way To Number One

Looks like Modern Warfare 2’s direct opposition isn’t doing too bad for itself, as it has shot it’s way up to the number one spot in no time on the UK charts. It is now the new fastest selling game of 2010, snatching that title from Alien Vs Predator. Interestingly, the game sold 53 percent on the Xbox 360, with another 31 percent on the Playstation 3.

It will be interesting to see what tale the next two weeks of the UK Charts will show, with the release of Final Fantasy XIII this week, and then God of War III next week. The full top ten is below.

UK Charts: Heavy Rain Is Sonys First Number 1 Since Killzone 2

Here are the charts for the week ending February 26th. Sony and Quantic Dreams exclusive Heavy Rain has shot to the number one spot, which is very surprising for a Sony exclusive, especially one that is a new IP. Heavy Rain managed to beat out the previous number one, Alien vs Predator. The second highest entry this week, was Sonic and Sega Allstar Racing, which surprisingly entered at number eight.

UK Charts: Aliens Vs Predator Is Your Number 1

The charts are very interesting this week, firstly Mass Effect 2 has completely vanished from the top 10. Secondly last weeks number 1, Bioshock 2 has slipped all the way to number 3. Finally, Aliens Vs Predator did even better than we was expecting. It sold at such a rapid rate that it has taken the number 1 spot on this weeks charts. According to Chart-Track it has now become the fastest selling game in 2010 period, with 58 per cent of sales on the Xbox 360, 32 per cent on the PlayStation 3 and nine per cent on PC.

UK Charts Week Ending 12th February: Bioshock 2 Becomes The Big Daddy

Bioshock 2 has taken over the charts this week, shooting it’s way to the number one spot. If you are wondering why Bioshock 2 is the latest hot product, then check out our review of the game. It has now knocked Mass Effect 2 right off of the top spot, and Mass Effect 2 has slid all the way down to number 8. Mass Effect 2 received a 58 percent decrease in it’s sales, ouch!

Just Dance remained at it’s number 2 spot, and Fifa 2010 saw a 53 percent increase, putting it at number 3 right above Modern Warfare 2. Isn’t it funny to see how these games shoot up and down the UK charts?

UK Charts: Mass Effect 2 Dominates Charts

Mass Effect 2 has remained the UK’s number one selling game, despite having heavy competition from Just Dance 2 and Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Reports say that Mass Effect 2 managed to keep the top spot even while suffering a 64 percent drop. A mere 800 copies were separating Mass Effect 2 and Just Dance, so perhaps this could be Mass Effect 2’s last reign at the top of the charts.
