This is another classic episode of The Co-Op for you people. This week we had a lot to talk about, and things got very intense. Htownplaya(Edward V) ended up making a strong statement, which I’m sure will be discussed well after this podcast. He mentioned that Playstation 3 gamers suck compared to Xbox live players (Rich give me that “UH OH”).

The main topics we touched on this week include the Modern Warfare 2 hacker fiasco, Sony introducing a subscription plan for PSN, and the Spike Video Game Awards nominations for Game Of The Year.

Friday is here and that means its time for another Flashtrack Friday to jumpoff. If you are new to the site Flashtrack Friday is a time when I share a piece of video game music that I have been listening to lately. I can get weird on you sometimes, but I keep the hits coming. For all the regular visitors, appreciate you coming through. Let’s get down to business.

This week’s track comes for the PSN game Soldner X. Soldner X is a Gradius type space shooter than I recommend you check out. Before playing Assassin’s Creed 2 all night, I played this game for two hours just to listen to the soundtrack. The music is the game has an uptempo, techno vibe, but its well composed. You can tell the game’s creators wanted the music to stand out from all other PSN games. Here’s music from the first stage of the game to give you an overall feeling of the entire soundtrack.

Thats right, today (the 17th November) is The Koalition’s 1 year birthday. So this is a very special office. In this episode we break it down 100% on how we started the site, hear it right from the people who created the Koalition. What’s good people. Flashtrack Fridays is back. You already know that I have something good for you check out this week. I don’t wanna hype it up, but if you are a fan of Contra 1 from the NES this is for you. This track is entitled Snow Field and it was created by Jack Kirkpatrick aka tefnet. They say Contra has some of the hardest music to remake, but tefnet did the game justice. This track is sure to bring back memories if you were lucky enough to experience the NES era. Even if you didn’t start playing games until Halo like Htown, this track is still banging on all levels. Click play and see what I mean.

The Office 8th November – Girls Girls Girls

We were in the office chillin, and ruthless kid was giving us mad jokes. So in normal Koalition fashion we hit the record button. Despite all the talk about girls we also have some Dragon Age Origins impressions in there for all you gamers that are a little skeptical about the game.

Happy Halloween. This is one of the biggest party weekends of the year right here, be safe. Now before you go out and get smashed, start your weekend off by listening to this week’s Flashtrack Friday. I was going to post something with a scary, evil sounding vibe, but this track right here changed my plans. It’s from Silent Hill 2, but nothing is really scary about it. It’s just an excellent piece of music. The name of the track is called True. If you a fan of the Silent Hill series then you will more than likely remember this masterpiece. This track puts me in a state of deep mind everytime I hear it. Check it out and let me know if you are feeling it.

Wagwan to all my UK peoples. What’s good to my American brethren. Your boy Mills is coming through once again to hit you the latest addition of Flashtrack Fridays. At the request of the homie Swiff Epics, this week’s video game track comes from Final Fantasy X and it’s the music from the town of Luca. Final Fantasy X has some of greatest video game music of all time in my opinion, it even made my top five video game soundtrack list which you can read here. This particular track in very unique. The instruments go well together and it has an up tempo feeling. Check it out and let Swiff know if this track is as nice as he thinks it is.

So heres the second showdown between Htownplaya and Killakap, this time its a trivia dedicated to the rawest TV show ever “The Wire”. This is also a two part edition of the office, after the trivia went down IxxIconxxI joined the office festivities and begun arguing with Htownplaya and Ruthlesskid. So I guess you can count this as The Office + The After Office Hours.

I give my impressions and what I took from the Allhiphop.com Social Lounge that went down at NJPAC last Saturday. With the extra time i had on my hands last night i decided to try my hand at painting in Forza Motorsport 3. So right here and now i present to all of the loyal koalitionites out there the first version of the official Koalition Forza whip. Currently the whip is eyes only but i am hoping to get a finished design out on the Forza StoreFront soon. What’s going on people. The weekend is upon us and Flashtrack Friday is back. Before everyone goes out partying, clubbing, or whatever it is you do when the weekend arrives, I want to give a shoutout to all the supporters. I’m glad yall come through to check us out over here at theKoalition.com every week. We really do appreciate the love and support and just know that things are only going to get better from here.

Now that I got that out of the way, this week’s video game track comes from Pokemon Red and Blue. I couldn’t escape the madness back in the day and I’m sure that a lot of you got caught up in it as well. If you remember Lavender Town from the game, the town with all the Ghost Pokemon, you might remember that creepy music that went with that stage as well. The Orichalcon over at ocremix.org remixed that level’s music and I chose it to be this week’s Flashtrack. It still has some of that same creepy aura, but its a smoother version of the music. Check it out and let me know if you remember that stage of the game.

This got me thinking about some of my favorite Rare games. The first thing that popped in my head was Donkey Kong Country. So this week’s track is music from that game.
