The whole Koalition team would like to send a big Happy Birthday greeting to one of the most hardworking members of the team. You guys asked for it, now you have them. They are in BETA for the moment because we are still working out features and alot of technical stuff you wouldn’t understand or care about. So go register now and get active. We do have user rankings and even a section for you to show off your writing skills. So if you have something good enough, it will make it to the front page!

We have a section for site feedback and suggestions so if you have any the forum is the best form of communication for that, for anything really. So come kick it with us we have some fun things planned out. Just look for the “Forums” button on the green navigation at the top of the page anytime you visit the site. But for your convenience here is a link below.

Also to fellow editors. post articles to promote your site. As long as your active and not being so bland about it, we don’t mind. You may get a spot on the affiliate links if we get cool enough. Videos are embeddable to my vloggers out there!

Site Update, 3.0 Is Here.

Sup everyone I thought I would let you know whats happening behind the scenes at The Koalition. The first thing you may have noticed when you visited the site today is the new theme which was made from scratch by me and is still currently in beta, so expect to see a few bugs and gremlins. If you do find a bug please leave a comment here telling us about it and we will see if it can be fixed.

The second new addition to the site is a brand new comments system. Why did we need a new system? Well the main reason we switched systems was to allow you to comment using your logins from other services. Currently the new system supports logins from Twitter, Facebook, Yahoo, Open ID & Disqus. Avatar support is also included in the new system, so if you have a nice Twitter picture you will see that when you comment here on the site, the same goes with Facebook and all the other services.

As always here at The Koalition we will be looking for your feedback on the changes and any suggestions you may have to help improve the site.

Oh and before you ask Joe, the recent comments will be coming back in the future.

It’s a celebration b*tches! Thats right, The Koalition has won the Black Weblog Award for best science/technology blog. We are thrilled and honored to represent the African American community in gaming. We are also a diverse site with different backgrounds of our editors. When we started this site in November of 2008 we had a goal to change gaming for the urban/hiphop community. This award lets us know we are on the right path. This is is OUR win, meaning you as well. We will continue to get better with your help and involvement.
