Ya boy F.Mills is back with the second edition of the Cop or Flop Weekly. In case this is your first time checking out the Cop or Flop Weekly I’ll let you know what this is all about one more time. Every week I’m going to talk about some of the big and small video game releases of the week. Then based on the factors of content, re-playability, and overall fun factor, I’m going to give you some words of wisdom. I will give that game the official Cop approval meaning its a game worth owning, or I will give the game a Flop if I think you should rent it or save your money altogether. So that’s the gist of it. Now lets get down to business.

Week of 4/5/09

Ninja Blade— Xbox 360

Cop or Flop: Cop… Don’t look at this game as a Ninja Gaiden ripoff, instead try to see it as version 2.0. Its like Windows 7 compared to Windows Vista. Ninja Blade is a game for gamers. Blood and guts will be coming from every direction like Ninja Gaiden II without all the crap that mad us mad about NG2. If you enjoy kicking ass and taking names this game is for you. No doubt about. It really is that fun.

The Godfather II—PS3, Xbox 360, PC

Cop or Flop: Cop… Godfather 1 was a game that seemed to fly under the radar and like its movie counterpart it didn’t disappoint. Godfather II adds more gameplay, more story, and more Micheal Corleone. If you have seen the trailers and gameplay of this game then you should already be convinced to buy this game. If that isn’t enough be sure to keep your eyes on the review section of theKoalition.com as my homie HTown aka Edward V will be posting a review on it very soon.

The Chronicles of Riddick Assault on Dark Athena— PS3, Xbox 360, PC

Cop or Flop: Flop… This game is the definition of a rental. No where near fun enough or long enough to justify dropping $60 on it, but a great rental if you need a game to pick up from Blockbuster. Playing with Riddick will have you feeling nostalgic if you were fortunate enough to play the 1st game on the original xbox, but you will quickly realize that you want to pop in Killzone 2 or another shooter. If you are looking for a game to put in your weekly gaming rotation this just doesn’t fit the criteria.

Hannah Montana The Movie—PS3, Xbox 360, PC, WII, DS

Cop or Flop: Cop… I am not giving this game a Cop cause it a game of the year candidate or any thing like that. Any gamer with any logical reasoning will know why I say this game is a Cop. This is for anyone with a daughter, nieces, cousins, or a girlfriend that has been stuck by the Hannah Montana phenomenon. The look on the faces and the bliss they will be is enough to make the purchase not feel like it was in vain. If your a single male who gets no play from the ladies that Tivo’s Hannah Montana and expects to play this game for 20 hours+…. might as well change your name to the 40 Year Old Virgin when you post.
