Well 2008 is officially over, in the gaming world, with the release of NPD numbers for December 2008. As always Nintendo rules the charts in software, and hardware. The Xbox 360 outsold the PS3 by double thanks to the price cut. On the software side Wii Play (the best selling game ever) is still dominating, as to why? It’s just the game to get for the Wii. (cause of the extra controller) Call of Duty: World At War managed to sell a million units in its debut and once again, selling more than Gears of War 2 which sold 745K units. Left 4 Dead even managed to sell more copies in December than what it did in its debuts month. Full results below:
