Talks of hybrid Blu-ray disc with games and movies was a big topic of conversation around the beginning of Blu-ray’s life cycle. With all that space on a Blu-ray disc, who would it hurt to throw a boatload of content on a disc to make the people happy? Fast forward a few years later and now such a hybrid Blu-Ray disc is on the verge of release; sort of. As the name of the post states, Sony’s upcoming blockbuster movie District 9 will include the God of War III E3 2009 demo on the very same disc. This deadly combination is scheduled to be released on December 29, 2009.

For those who have not seen the movie, District 9 is an above average sci-fi flick about humans sharing the planet with unwelcome aliens and a scientist who monitors them for a corporation. I won’t explain the whole plot, but it does get real crazy, real quick. It’s easily one of the top three movies of 2009. The included God of War III demo is just a great bonus for PlayStation 3 owners who may not be buying the God of War collection for some insane reason. This may not be big news to many, but I see it as the catalyst for things to come. The groundwork has be layed with the announcement of this hybrid and the future must see bigger and better combinations.

Who Cares Bout Having The Demo When Its Going To Be On PSN Sooon People Are Gunna Be Suckered In To This Film So It Can Sell High But Then Again It Won’t Sell That Much, Because It Has PS3 Support, But If It Was Xbox360 It Would Have More Support
