Around the globe over there in Gloucestershire, England a Father was having just a normal day. His son probably had finally convinced him to buy Grand Theft Auto IV for him after months of begging. The Father, Richard Thornhill, goes into his local Gamestation store and buys a used copy of GTAIV and heads back to his home. Instead of giving the game immediately to his son, he decided to open it game for himself. He cracks open the case and then bam. Four pills with Gucci Mane’s face or some other insignia on them wrapped in cling film falls out of the game. The man is shock. Who would put Gucci Mane ugly face on some ecstasy pills? That would have been my response, but Richard Thornhill felt another way.
“When I opened the box up, the cling film wrap fell out. I could not believe it,” he told the Telegraph. “I have two children and my son plays Xbox all the time. He could easily have opened the box and found them.
“I dread to think what the consequences would have been if he had. He is only 12. He could have died.
“It was a pre-used game, but that should not make a difference,” he said. “My wife is beside herself over this because she keeps thinking about what could have happened and so do I.”
If your think son and daughter would have taken pills that came out a video game, there might just be some underlying issues somewhere. Gamestation has issued a statement of apology, but the Police has decided to take a further look into this issue. Who knows. Maybe the Gamestation employee is the UK version of Rick Ross. Only time will tell.
