Because the 2010 Q1 line up is becoming so crowded, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has anticipated even more delays. It is true that the industry is becoming very over crowded, and we will begin to feel the effects as we draw more into the holiday season.
Many would believe that these delays are also down to companies moving their games out of Modern Warfare 2’s path, but this may just cause a domino effect in 2010. Could the delays cause a lag in the industry? There are some heavy hitters scheduled for the first half of 2010 so we can be pretty sure that some of them will be pushed all the way back to 2010’s holiday season.
Two games I definitely expect to be pushed back to be pushed back to holiday 2010 are Heavy Rain and God Of War (due to the surge of action games similar to god of war, God of war will surely want to shine by itself).
Fergus Mills of this very site says “Games getting pushed back kills hype”, and indeed being completely honest I don’t feel like there is as much hype surrounding games like Gran Turismo as there should be considering its a AAA title.
One thing we can be sure of, is that the wave of games in 2010 should be satisfying but demanding on our pockets.

The only games I want for the rest of this year is Uncharted 2, Rachet & New Mario Wii
this is the weakest fall line up in years
Nah i actually think its a powerful line up
its just a shame a lot of things got pushed back
