February 2009 brought us a couple of great games, the 4th installment in the Street Fighter series, to arguably the most hyped game this year, Killzone 2. People lie but numbers never do, lets check out the NPD results. Nintendo consoles and software continue to dominate the gaming market. Xbox 360 received an increase in sales from last month, don’t see what title could of helped. Street Fighter IV was the true champion last month, selling over 400k on each console. Killzone 2 sold a respectable 323k in the 2 days of its release, but it didn’t really help jump console sales for the PS3, maybe next month we’ll see. A surprise jump is New Super Mario Bros. for the DS, this game came out in May 2006…..that’s right. Well that’s pretty much it, till’ next month.
