One film many gamers want to avoid watching is the film adaptation of Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. Not because it looks bad (it doesn’t) but because we just hate seeing our favorite games get tainted by Hollywood. Disney was kind enough to lend the first piece of footage of the upcoming film to ABC for a Movie Special, in it you’ll find a heavy muscular Jake Gyllenhaal and the great setting of Morocco. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer (Pirates of The Caribbean) talks a little bit about the plot, the star of the film, and more. I don’t know what’s wrong with some of you gamers out there but this movie looks like it will be pretty good. Disney is backing it and you have the producer of The Pirates of Caribbean movies, it could be something special. The film is set to open in theaters Memorial Day weekend, May 28, 2010.
