Today I was introduced to a new artist, Theophilus London, through his newly released mixtape, This Charming Mixtape. After listening to his music and mixtape for the first time I can say he’ll be one of the artist that will have a strong cult following within the online hip-hop community. His music sounds like something Kanye West will bite off of, and most will be quick to put him into the ‘hipster’ category. Now personally, I enjoyed the mixtape and I think its a great introduction into Theo’s music. His music is really different to anything else out there, I cant find an artist to compare him with. The mixtape is filled with electronic/pop/soul/hip-hop fused music, which seems like an odd couple but it all fits smoothly making the mixtape a good smooth listen.
