February was set to be one of the best months of my life with the final season of LOST premiering at the beginning of the month and PS3 exclusive Heavy Rain coming down at the end, but now it seems as if some things are just too good to be true. Online rental service LOVEFiLM (the UK’s equivalent of GameFly and Netflix) has recently revised Heavy Rain’s European release date from February 26th to March 26th insinuating that the game has been delayed 4 weeks. When asked for clarification LOVEFiLM told us “We have been informed by our distributors that the title Heavy Rain will be released on 26/03/2010” OUCH!
Update: Sony Europe quickly came to the rescue and shot down LOVEFilM’s claims, firmly stating “Heavy Rain has not been delayed, there is no truth to that”, Phew! Now all I have to do is stay alive until at least March.
As promised The Koaltion will be covering Heavy Rain intensely up to, and beyond it’s “FEBRUARY” launch so keep it locked to the site for any further developments.
