July 2009 NPD – Money Money Yeah Yeah
When people take a look at NPD’s they see a 14% decrease from last years numbers but what I see is same ole’ Nintendo leading the charts. Although, looking at Wii sales for the month of July 2009, the sales for the Wii are pretty low at 252K, only 50K above Xbox 360. Is Wii finally losing its steam? And Sony is not looking so great with PS3 numbers at 121K, guess everyone knows a price drop is right around the corner. On the software side, Wii Sports Resort leads the top 10 at 508K sold. NCAA Football 10 at number 2 and 3, selling more on the Xbox 360 by 139K. Fight Night Round 4 managed to stay on the charts at number 8 with 116K sold on the Xbox 360. That’s pretty much anything of interest for this month’s NPD numbers, I look forward to the fall numbers.

AMAZING!
Pretty much. EA and Nintendo run things in the summer it seems. All those Wii and Wii motion plus buyers had to catch up w/ Mario Kart and Wii Fit.
Sony should just start focusing on the PS4. Seriously they lost this generation. They should either revamp the PS3 and make it much cheaper or focus on the 4.
