Zone of the Enders was the 1st PlayStation 2 game that I owned. The Metal Gear Solid 2 demo it came with had a lot to with that, but the game itself was very good. When I played Zone of the Enders 2 I was left mesmerized. It is one of the best games I have ever played and that was six years ago. Easily in my top 10 games of all time.

Fans of ZOE have been waiting and hoping for a 3rd installment of the series, and that dream just might finally become a reality. Famitsu currently has a feature out about the top 50 games series that readers want a sequel made for. Zone of the Enders is number 15 on that list. Famitsu was able to get Hideo Kojima to comment on the fans request and here is how he feels about the whole ordeal.

“ZOE is a title that has an extremely large fanbase requesting a sequel. That holds especially true for The 2nd Runner, the sequel. That game was praised all over the world, and we still get a lot of intensely devoted adulation for that game. After Metal Gear Solid, it’s the Kojima Production title that has the largest and most dedicated fanbase. We’re always fantasizing about how we’d make an advanced new version of ZOE: The 2nd Runner with all the cutting-edge tech we have now if we ever had the opportunity. But there is a mountain of things that have to take priority over that, and we just haven’t been able to make it a reality yet. I’m positive in my heart, though, that I’ll be able to bring a sequel to all the fans someday.”

The people have been waiting Kojima. Its time to deliver. You have put your Metal Gear days behind you, now its time to closeout your other masterpiece. Anyone who has played through ZOE knows what I’m talking about. If you haven’t played these games then you have done yourselves an injustice. You might still be able to find the original Zone of Enders at a decent price, but ZOE 2 is rare and prices are inflated in the used market. Maybe Goozex has some going around. I highly recommend you play both games. I give it the official F. Mills Cop approval rating.

   I agree, this game is in my top 3 list! I only have 3 games i really really enjoyed, and this being a game i beat and played over and over and over! anyone reading this should most def “TRY” to find a good copy for a good price, bit i highly doubt it as it is not one of the rarest games on earth. But if you do i focking guarantee it will be worth the it, one hell of a ride!
