The folks over at Eurogamer are reporting that the long awaited Lost Planet 2 multiplayer co-op demo is coming next week for Xbox Live Gold members. Full details below.

Gold subscribers get access 19th August, while the Silver hordes need wait until 26th August to play. There’s no word on PC or PS3 demos, but we’re checking with the publisher now.

The co-op demo offers up to four of you an intense battle against a massive insect boss. You can pull its legs off or be swallowed and fight out from the inside. There are laser guns to help you do this, or you can climb aboard a VS mech suit with up to two others.

Because of Lost Planet 2’s co-op focus, Capcom has added various squad-support mechanics, such as weaponry that boosts friendly attack and defence, and the ability to share life-giving T-ENG juice to hurt allies.

Fight and you may die. Run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!
