With the release of Dragon age: Origins earlier this week, Bioware has decided to release an official gameplay video for one of the most anticipated RPG Shooters next year, Mass Effect 2. The video features 9 minutes of uninterrupted gameplay footage taken from the latest build of the game. The setting is the infamous Omega “Inferno” Nightclub that was last seen at E3 2009.

On the surface, the graphics are looking more polished then ever before. The interrogation scenes still offer you an array of choices that will ultimately determine your fate as you playthrough the game. Based upon some of the replies and mannerisms of Commander Shepard, he looks to overall be more confident and has an unbreakable no nonsense attitude. When it comes to combat, the system looks to be sharper then the previous Mass Effect. Bioware has promised a more streamlined approach to gunplay and so far it looks as though they are holding that up considerably well. There is also a brief appearance from Shepard’s former squad member Garrus. Based upon the dialogue between the two, there are subtile hints as to what may have happened to our hero regarding his death. Too bad you’ll have to wait until January 26, 2010 to find out.
