LittleBigPlanet was a great game but one with almost fatal flaws, namely the unresponsive physics-based controls and half-assed implementation of the three-layered platforming system. If like me you’ve been hoping these issues would be addressed in an upcoming sequel you better sit down because Media Molecule has some bad news for you.
In an interview with Critical Gamer, game designer Danny Leaver stated that at this point releasing LBP 2 would be “the most counter-productive thing you could do” sighting that releasing a new game would fragment the community. Producer Martin Lynagh supported his colleague’s statement by outlining their planes to keep LittleBigPlanet alive via DLC and title updates which in theory could keep the game up-to-date alleviating the need for a sequel.
LittleBigPlanet PSP is due to hit stores on November 17.

Twitter and Facebook users do not need too do this.

i actually agree 100% with this.
there is no need for a sequel yet.
I was playing LBP a few days ago, some of the levels that their community has managed to create are pure genius, I just think the controls hurt the experience
nintendo needs to make a create your own mario game
the controls hurt the game? really?
how?
you run, you jump, you grab, you place items where you want them…seems simple enough imo.
Your jumps are floaty and inconsistant, it’s easy to get stuck behind items that are in the foreground or background and the physics are way off
This is no trying to be mario……..this game is like you move around an actual toy in a virtual world made out of toy set pieces.
Mario is traditional side scrolling, that has no actual real life physics or anything like that, you’re just going forward as code by the devs.
Mario will never go fully LBP, they already swagga jacked LBP whole play together structure, but I think the nintendo creator wouldn’t let you ruin the image of their iconic characters.
This is true, no need to deal with a L4D type situation.
I think they rather make a new IP then make another one of these, which
can just be filled with DLC forever anyways and re-released over and over.
