There have been hints and there have been rumors that the next Metal Gear Solid is on it’s way soon, it could possibly even be seen by the end of 2009. So what exactly would we like to see in Metal Gear Solid 5? here is my very own wish list.
Either Snake or Raiden as the main character
As history has shown, it doesn’t turn out too well if you force a completely new guy on us as the main playable character. Just look at when Raiden was introduced in Metal Gear Solid 2, fans reacted so badly that Hideo had to humor us with a very camp Raiden look alike in Metal Gear Solid 3.
However in Metal Gear Solid 4 Raiden redeemed himself as his character became a complete badass, that fight with vamp is one of the best scenes in the game period. Now i’m convinced that if either Snake himself or Raiden aren’t the main character in the next edition then it just might not feel the same.
Finish off Snakes Story
The ending of Metal Gear Solid 4 suggested that Snake pretty much passed on a few months down the line, but knowing Hideo there was a lot more too it than that, so even if Snake is not the main character in the next edition they have to some how reference whats become of Old Snake. Even though it was amazing story, Metal Gear Solid 4 still left many open questions so it wouldn’t be a good look to just move on to a completely different story without somehow merging it in with the events of the past. Or maybe they’ll make another prequel?

1080p HD Resolution
Metal Gear Solid 4 looked stunning, and that was just 720p. If they managed to pull off a Metal Gear Solid game in 1080p resolution I will wet my shorts. It would be phenomenal to see one of gamings top franchises to run at 1080p at 60 frames per second, but maybe thats asking for too much?
Improved Metal Gear Online
Metal Gear Online just did not have anything to make us come back continuously, the game play was very slow and clunky. All they need is to speed up the action and have better objectives and missions, perhaps a skirmish mode that alternates missions, and also Don’t Charge Us To Make Multiple Characters on One Console!
More action Sequences and less cut scenes
Now that the main Solid Snake story has been told and Hideo will no longer be solely behind the boards, maybe its time to focus more on the action of Metal Gear Solid than the story telling. Though I do not want them to scrap the story telling completely, a great story is always a plus but this time there should be more emphasis on the gameplay.

More Gear to play with.
One thing I love about the series is the amount of gadgets you get to play with, you’d think Snake was James Bond’s long lost cousin or something along those lines. Metal Gear Solid 4 didn’t let us down at all in that department, giving us a host of things to play with such as a miniature Metal Gear Ray to wheel around and shock enemies in their asses. How about a grenade which releases laxative fumes when thrown, giving you the ability to take out enemy sentries while they, you know?
Multi-Platform
It’s fine and dandy that those who wish to finish Snakes story will need to buy a Playstation 3, but if they’re planning on going in a new direction with the next game then how about a Multi platform release? As an avid big Metal Gear Solid I would love for even more people to share the experience.
Thats pretty much my main wishes for the next game, but as long as the same team that have worked on Metal Gear Solid previously are behind it then i’m every bit confident that the same quality will remain. If you also have any ideas you would like seen in the next game I would be interested to hear you out, so hit me up on Gswaby@TheKoalition.com

i hope they do another big boss mgs i loved mgs3 soo much !
Yeah, another one with Big Boss. I’ve only played 3 and it was awesome.
