Everyone’s been talking about the possibility of a motion sensing device coming to the Xbox 360. Today, Microsoft confirmed the rumors with Project Natal but its more than just a Mii2 copycat, its a revolutionary piece of technology. Steven Spielberg agrees. Project Natal is geared towards those non-gamers who don’t want to touch a gaming controller at all. With Project Natal, you are the controller. Several games were demonstrated using a prototype of Natal. Now the games didn’t look that great but the technology alone makes them standout. The camera can do several great functions like voice recognition, and being able to recognize you and signing you in on its own. Peter Molyneux and Lionhead was there to show off what they’ve created using Project Natal. They have created a boy named, Milo, who you can talk to. Milo had the ability to recognize your emotions, face, and words. This technology is 2 steps beyond a Wii-mote, but I’m afraid that this might be to tech-savy for the casual audience. No word on when this piece of technology will hit stores nor whether the Lionhead, Milo game is a real game or just a visual of what can be done.
