Because Sony are having such a bad time in the media, it’s only right we report some good news. Sony have managed to outsell their rivals in Japan for the 2nd week running, everyone makes a big deal when Microsoft tops the charts over there so its only right Sony gets a round of applause.

The PSP came in with the biggest number of 43,463 units sold beating the rival hand held Nintendo DS/DSi. The DS followed up with 39,135.

On the console front Playstation 3 beat out both Nintendo’s Wii and Xbox 360 with 28,014 units sold.
