Want a PSP Go? It may be time to remortgage your house because when it launches in North America and Europe on October 1st this year it will cost a staggering $249 (or €229). I really hope Sony hasn’t shot themselves in the foot with this price as they did with the $600 PS3 back in 2006.

Currently the PSP 3000 retails for $169 so the Go’s pricing is a pretty drastic leap considering it is extensively the same hardware, just in a smaller sexier shell. But remember it does have 16gbs of built in memory, storage of that size for the current PSP would cost you around $90 so it’s not that bad I guess.

    Price isn’t too bad.

    The 3000 is $170 – and two 8Gig MSPRO Duo’s at Radio Shack cost me $90 – it’s a fair price.

I hope they throw some free downloads or at least a carry case, and some stickers in with this joint though…
