Put down your pads and Pick up your keyboards V 1.0
I’ve decided that it’s time to do something about the lack of interest in PC games, so in this new segment I will recommend some excellent PC games as often as I deem necessary. I don’t play much PC games due to not having great spec’s; regardless I do appreciate many of the PC games out there, and I have a close friend who keeps me up to date on everything thats hot. (Shout outs to The Ex Machina)
The Witcher

For those of you who appreciate widely and complex westernized RPG’s, this game is amazing and defiantly something to check out. Think of RPG’s such as Diablo and Neverwinter nights, The Witcher is among the same kind of style, but unique in it’s own right. Also the combat is very simple, there are aspects to The Witcher that will have you glued onto the seat for hours. You will be very occupied creating potions and doing numerous quests as well as interacting with all the lovely NPC’s (I hear they have some very X-Rated dialog).

The Witcher will also be making it’s way to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 later on this year; though expect a very dumbed down version as your casual console gamers would never be interested in such a complex game as the PC version of The Witcher.
Mount And Blade

Mount and Blade may look a little dated in graphics, and I’m sure a lot of people are sick of the whole med evil setting by now. However you cant just ignore the gaming experience that this game offers. It’s an open world epic that simply lets you do what ever the hell you like; there is no core story to this game, you make your own story, your own adventures and your own decisions. Mount and Blade is of course another Rpg, the the structure (or lack of a main story structure) was enough to make me want to check out this game. The look of the game may put you off, but give it a try and you might just get hooked.

Trying the game is very easy too; the official website offers a free download of the game, and the download is in no way a demo, it is in fact the full version of the game. The catch is that you can only level up to level 7, if you wish to go higher then you’ll of course need the full version of the game. So go ahead and give it a test run, the game doesn’t require high specs at all, so try the game here.

That’s all for now, but keep checking back because I will have even more great PC titles to recommend. The love for PC games is on a decline right now due to those amazing consoles that pretty much do everything we need plus more, but there is still a lot gems that we are missing out on, and many of us in fact have the specs to run many of them. So there is no excuse, put down that controller and pick up your keyboards.
