Reported by the lead designer of Rock Band 2 through the Playstation Blog, Harmonix is releasing a new patch for the PS3 version that will provide even more DLC goodness this Thursday. It introduces a new online community feature called Rock Band Network. Fans, record labels, and music artists can now contribute new downloadable songs to Rock Band 2. In addition to that, the patch also provides support for Singstar’s microphone, Ion Drum Rocker drums (velocity sensitive), and the convenience of sorting songs quickly based on the number of stars you’ve earned on each song.
