Scratch: The Ultimate DJ has lost a little bit of its mojo with the whole developer change and the rising popularity of their competitor, DJ Hero. But their not giving up on the game and neither am I. There’s no doubt that Scratch: The Ultimate DJ has the better looking and more authentic peripheral to a DJ game yet, so that alone keeps me interested. We recently had an interview with QD3 and the way he talks about the different features this game will have has me interested once again (take a listen if you haven’t.) At the end of the day, you can have the best features ever in any rhythm based game but if the music isn’t right then better luck next time. Unlike DJ Hero, Scratch does not have mixes better yet, it lets you do the mixing and the scratching. Eight new songs were announced and added to the setlist today, some I like and the rest I never heard of. Glad to see their getting old-school tracks all the way to the hits of today.

New licensed tracks include:

* Gifted – N.A.S.A. Feat Kanye West, SantiGold, Lykke Li
* Looking Fly – Murs
* Skanky Panky – Kid Koala
* Iced Lightning – RJD2
* They Reminisce Over You – Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth
* Friends – Whodini
* Push It – Salt n Pepa
* Life in a Cage – The Knux

Previously announced artists and licensed tracks:

* Peter Piper – Run DMC
* Feel Good Inc. – Gorillaz
* Hot in Herre – Nelly
* Mastermind – Deltron 3030
