I been under a rock called work lately, but just in case you been under one as well lets both catch up with all the commotion thats going on. So recently Activision executive Bobby Kotick laid the hammer down in a interview with The Times. Heres a quote:
“I’m getting concerned about Sony; the PlayStation 3 is losing a bit of momentum and they don’t make it easy for me to support the platform. It’s expensive to develop for the console, and the Wii and the Xbox are just selling better. Games generate a better return on invested capital on the Xbox than on the PlayStation”.
Whoa. Ok doing my usual internet scan I saw a few sites respond to this article saying Activision is making a mistake. Im not going to disagree but, Im forced to disagree with a wealth of those articles stating that EA makes most of there profit from Sony so thats why Activision is wrong. If that was the same case for Activision im pretty sure Bobby Kotick wouldn’t have said this. “Games generate a better return on invested capital on the Xbox than on the PlayStation.” Now Sony is not quiet on the issue here is what they had to say in response:
“PlayStation has tremendous momentum coming out of E3, and we are seeing positive growth with more than 350 titles slated to hit across all our platforms, including many anticipated games from our publishing partners,” said Playstation spokesman Patrick Seybold. “We enjoy healthy business relationships with and greatly value our publishing partners and are working closely with them to deliver the best entertainment experience.”(Kotaku)
Not a big response. But Sony did show up big at E3, can’t disagree with that. But at the same time this is usual Pr spin crap. I want to see blood! Only time will tell where this leads, for the sake of gaming I actually want Activision to remain on Sony despite my thirst for a fight.

they just want Sony to drop the price of the ps3 so they can sell more of those shitty ride and dj hero peripherals
I copped a PS3 yesterday, literally saw 2 other people consecutively before me get the inFAMOUS package along with the PS3. So within 5-10 mins, 3 people bought a PS3 from the same store. Never seen that before; if anything, the sales of PS3 are on the incline.
dammit kap! reading this fake-beef story made me miss a cutscene in inFamous!!
