Capcom has now confirmed the existence of the highly rumored, Super Street Fighter IV. So is it just an update or a full sequel? We don’t know but we do know it will be a standalone title. Super Street Fighter IV will come with an additional eight characters, three of which are T.Hawk, Dee Jay, and Juri, the rest will be later revealed, I assume. The game will also see improvements in the online department, the return of bonus rounds, and will balance out the characters a bit more, so no more Super Sagat. So before you head over to your nearest hardware store for your protest pitchfork (a la L4D2) know that producer Yoshinori Ono has promised that the game will not be a full priced release. If you don’t own Street Fighter IV already you’re in luck because you won’t need the first to play Super Street Fighter IV, but early adopters don’t feel ripped off because Ono says there will be a special something for those who purchased both games. Here’s an interview Gamespot did with Ono about the new expansion; covering what you want to know. SSFIV will be out Spring 2010 on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
