This week on the Co-Op podcast we discuss the PSPGo, Uncharted 2 impressions, Social Integration in video games, and Super Street Fighter IV. And we ask the questions Is Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad Of Gay Tony going to be a sleeper hit? and What is the future of game journalism? (based on Garnett Lee leaving 1up)

On the open floor we argue the recent MTV top ten Mc’s list, and things get heated when 7 Dawg gives his reasons for Gucci Mane being on the list.

Listen and Enjoy.

The pspgo seems like a half step, the lack of a camera and new features don’t bother me, all that bothers me is the price… Since Sony is jerking consumers with the price of the software why didn’t they take a massive hit on the hardware and get everyone to cop it? If they sold it for $150 it would have sold like hot cakes and they’d make their money back by selling games, it seems so simple to me.

Uncharted 2 is already my game of the year so far, there’s no doubt in my mind that it’s gonna be the best game on the PS3 and will continue to be until God Of War comes out. Naughty Dog just released a statement saying their disabling the Twitter support due to spamming though, and I’m sure most developers will take note of that.

I’m so hyped for SSFIV! Honestly I’d pay full price just to have it in my collection, I hope they go on to release a SSFIV Turbo, then maybe in a decade we’ll get Super Street Fighter IV Turbo 3D Remix on the PS5. I agree with GTA being dead, honestly i’d rather play iNfamous 2 than GTA 5. I’ve completed iNfamous twice but I’ve only put about 3 hours in to GTA IV and I copped that shit at launch.

I agree with the MTV list being bullshit, I bet you any money if I go up to 100 strangers on the street and ask them to name a Gucci Mane song they couldn’t do it. Rae also shouldn’t be there, especially if Joe Budden isn’t.

    Dope show as always.

Kap Budden doesn’t below on the list, HE ISN’T MAINSTREAM AT ALL
MTV= MAINSTREAM TV, his body of work= NOT MAINSTREAM. You said it yourself “he is the internet rapper”.

Raekwon is on the list because he made a classic sequel, not many rappers can pull off what Raekwon did and MTV are just paying homage to that great album, it means they felt the work for 2009.

btw not to beat a dead horse but REBEL INS walked to the dead horse
and kicked in the eye, with that House N**** diss LOL.

NO Hyper! Thank Jesus! This was a really good show.

7 is Right,Being a nigga from Queens i can say Gucci is way hotter than 50. 1 of the hottest mixtapes I copped this year was Guccis. 50s latest mixtapes were lacking and dont compare 2 his earlier stuff.

GTA is falling off because gta4 was lackluster.

But mtv list is dump ass hell,oh also the sky is blue.

  6. Tikyle says:

Man I hate Gucci Mane but honestly its not even close when you compare the hotness of Gucci Mane to 50 Cent.

The last feature 50 Cent been on that’s been hot? Who the hell knows!

The last feature Gucci Mane been on that’s been hot? Mariah Carey’s latest.

  7. Tikyle says:

Oh and Kap emcee-ing started to rock a crowd and get a party going. The thought provoking MC wasn’t the originator of MC-ing. Sorry to bust your bubble, but from one Jersey nigga to another you wrong kid.
