The First Annual Sackademy Awards (The Sackies)

I know right now we are all awaiting the VGA awards (Video Game Awards), which starts in around fifteen minutes (as I am writing this article). Well get this, Media Molecule and Sony are actually starting their own awards scheme to celebrate all the best user generated content that people have made. Once you get over the crazy name, it is not actually a bad idea at all.

Whenever I have browsed through all the user created levels in Little Big Planet, I have always been amazed at the level of creativity people have. So they may as well make all the hard work pay off by awarding the best. The winners of the categories are judged by Media Molecule themselves. An award has already been issued to a gamer by the name of Anpostteller for the level “Post–Apocalyptic” (He won the award “Best Visuals and use of Special Effects in a Level”).
