Now personally, I’m no damn marketing genius but when I see a commercial I know if that ad fits well with the product, I am a consumer after all. So I started thinking on what were the best commercials I’ve seen for a game. Long story short I decided to gather my top 5 game commercials. These commercials either fit the game or were just entertaining as hell to watch.

5. Banjo-Tooie (N64) – Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to play this game but this commercial is hilarious. Whoever did the voice for Banjo is a genius, and watching Kazooie chillin’ on his beach chair is cool.

4. Mortal Kombat 2 (SNES & Genisis) – This commercial can be miss interpreted as being cheesy, and after watching it again I probably would agree, but back then this was dope. Watching the real life versions Reptile, Shao Kang, Kitana, and best of all Baraka, is just cool to see especially from a huge MK fan like me. I would of bought this game in a heartbeat had I not been like 5 years old when it dropped. MOOORTAL KOOOMBAT!

3. Conker’s Bad Fur Day (N64) – Damn, that commercial was great. Not only does Conker have a girl on-lock but hes a hungover squirrel with an attitude, something pretty rare on the N64. And of course, the grand finale……Conker getting his belly rubbed. That chick sounded like a pornstar, so start doing your google research, I know I am.

2. Super Smash Bros. (N64) – I dare you to say that was not entertaining. Watching Mario, Yoshi, DK, and Pikachu go at it was just unheard of until 1999. Now I wasn’t to internet savvy so when I saw this commercial it was the first time I was even introduced to this game.

1. Gears of War (Xbox 360) – Yea, it was no big secret that Gears of War would be number one, then again why shouldn’t it be? Great graphics, and a great song to go along with it so perfectly.

   Booo atht he killzone 2 slow mo ad not being here…..that mortal kombat one was nice for its time though. I like the smash bros one too. Nice post amigo
