Lately it seems I am posting about this game constantly, but it deserves all the written efforts. Recently Uncharted 2: Among thieves director Amy Henning had some things to say in an interview with IndustryGamers. Firstly Amy expressed how Uncharted 2’s sales actually exceeded Naughty Dog’s expectations.

“I would definitely say it’s exceeding expectations,” she said. “Being in the industry for a while you learn to try to manage your expectations because you’d rather be surprised with good news than disappointed. It’s a tough business, but from the early numbers I’ve seen getting reported back it’s exceeded any estimates we had internally, and it’s certainly outsold the first game by many, many times. That and the critical reception so far has been really gratifying.”

Thats great to hear that the game has already outsold the first one, but whats even better is what Amy had to say about DLC for Uncharted 2.

“Without going into specifics, it’ll involve new maps, new characters, things like that. Some of it will be free of charge and some of it will be purchasable. We’ve got a lot of people on the team working on this stuff, some really cool stuff that people will be excited about,” she explained.

This is all great to hear, as the online for Uncharted 2 has been very popular. Especially in The Koalition office, as we had a dope game night on the game last night. The DLC just ensures that they’ll be more Uncharted 2: Among Thieves game nights in the future.
